2017

November
- Well, this is an exciting way to close out a year - I've started a theatre company! I've joined forces with fellow Boston theatre artists Alexandra Smith and Kelly Smith to found Also Known As Theatre, a company that focuses on producing work that asks who you were before society told you who to be. We present characters that are sometimes flawed but always deeply human. Please like/follow us on our official Facebook page to stay updated on upcoming productions and opportunities.
- Speaking of: We are presenting a staged reading of A Good Death and fundraiser for AKA Theatre on Monday, November 20th at the Democracy Center in Cambridge, MA. This marks our official debut as a company and we can't wait to say hello! Further information can be found here.

October
- A Bright Room Called Day has opened to sold-out crowds and great reviews! Tickets and further information can be found here. I hope you can make it, as this experience is proving to be a powerful one for audience and cast/crew alike!
August
- Some wonderful projects are on the horizon! 2018 is shaping up to be a very exciting year, artistically, and I'm happy to say that 2017 will be closing out with some fantastic projects as well.
- I will be playing Rosa Malek in Flat Earth Theatre's production of A Bright Room Called Day by Tony Kushner, directed by Dori Robinson. It is shaping up to be an extremely challenging but equally rewarding project, and I'm honored to be a part of it, as it feels just as relevant now as it did when it first premiered.  Tickets and further details are available here.

June
- This month, the 4th and 5th grade students at Lextended Day's Estabrook location performed an original adaptation of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and I could not be more proud of everyone involved. Students grades 2-5 worked with our Art Teacher to create scenery and props, and we had a wonderful turnout of family and friends. I'm so happy to have such a supportive staff that helped my students feel like the stars they are!
May
- My JCDS students' performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream was a smashing success, with audience members comparing it to professional productions they have seen. I can attribute this to the dedication and willingness to play of the students as well as the support of the incredible staff. I will miss creating crazy worlds with them.
- My performances with Imaginary Beasts as part of the Cabinet of Curiosities Festival will be on MAy 18th, 20th, and 21st at the Charlestown Working Theater. The schedule for the festival and ticket information can be found here. We will be performing excerpts from the Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven's poem "Coach Rider", and it is shaping up to be a very haunting piece. I hope to see you there!

March

- After a hiatus, I'm happy to be back with some new theatrical projects, both on and offstage!
- I will be reuniting with the Imaginary Beasts this May in a performance that will be part of Theatre on Fire's Cabinet of Curiosities Festival. This will be a devised piece inspired by the works of Mina Loy, Gertrude Stein, and Djuana Barnes, among others. It will be a female ensemble celebrating our nasty woman-status and I am thrilled to be a part of it. Details to follow.

- On the Teaching Artist front, I have once again been commissioned to direct a Shakespeare production at the Jewish Community Day School of Boston this May. This year we'll be remounting A Midsummer Night's Dream, which was performed very successfully in 2014. I'm excited to get back into my directing chair!

- I have also been commissioned to write and direct an original adaptation of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe for the Estabrook Elementary school's after-school program in Lexington. Fitting 19 students into a very limited amount of roles (not to mention omitting all of the violence and allegories) has been a creative challenge, but I'm very excited about the end product, which will be performed in June.
